Hi,Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. I have had this problem ever since moving to Windows 10.I have a Dell precision M6600 and both Dell and Intel do not supply a proper driverFinally by accident I found a driver that works on Windows 10 on the Lenovoto DropBox to get the Driver (69.2mb)Or go to the Lenovo Website and it is thereHope this helps! Power to the Developer! MSI GV72 - 17.3', i7-8750H (Hex Core), 32GB DDR4, 4GB GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 256GB NVMe M2, 2TB HDD. Hi Davy, maybe there is a fix for your problem:I experienced a comparable issue with 2 PCs in my company network after upgrading from Win10-1703 to 1709. On cold boot, the network adapter Intel 82579V (not LM) was not recognized, and I did not get a working network connection with internet access. WithWindows fast boot turned off, the network connection was established, but starting took a loooong time.I found out that the network adapter was recognized as 'Intel 82579LM' (and not 82579V) which caused the problem.

After some research, I finally found the 'Intel NVM Update Utility' here.Intel says the update fixes the problem - and it did! Once installed, the network adapter was recognized, the driver installed, and the network connection was there in almost no time - even with fast boot turned on. Another positive effect was thatboth PCs now only need 8 - 10 seconds to start Windows (after the hardware Information has disappeared).Hope this also helps you fix your problem!
Good luck!HeikoHHB. Yes this does resolve the issue but it was cumbersome to be forced to do this trick every time the computer was turned on to do some work. So a more permanent solution was decided upon that would make it unnecessary to go through that subterfuge every morning. What was done was to remove and install a newer adapter that is all digital. The machine works fine now.

By making this change in adapters it was discovered that a hard drive was dying. So a new 2T drive was also installed because now they are so cheap itwas more than an easy way out of a problem.A little at a time all the data is being removed from the old drive. So it pays to look into more stable solutions to a problem before an entire system crashes. What I wanted to do was to apply a full and final fix for this problem. My instincts told me that something more was wrong to cause such an overnight change in the computer operation. That is because I built this terminal with all state of the art components. So I felt that this should not have occurred. When a test was run, it was discovered that the entire 2 T drive was dying. So it was isolated and a new 2 T drive installed with the latest version of Windows 10.

Then I went from there to re-install the software that was needed to keep the shop running. In the world of electronics you never really know where the problem is located until you run extensive tests.
